The Duo Concerto for Cello and Guitar, composed collaboratively by guitarist Brad Richter and cellist Viktor Uzur, pairs classical forms and instrumentation with Eastern European folk melodies and rock music idioms. The first two movements evoke the great romantic concerti in their structure and orchestration, but reflect a contemporary sensibility with their accessible tonal language and pulse. The third movement pays homage to the beloved guitarist Jimmy Page, of Led Zeppelin, weaving together many of his famous riffs into flashy and intelligent counterpoint.

Trained in two of the world's most lauded musical institutions — The Royal College of Music and The Moscow Conservatory, respectively — Brad Richter and Viktor Uzur are consummate performers and accomplished composers, each having played around the globe to critical acclaim and international awards. Together, they have composed and arranged the most expansive collection of music for cello and guitar duo in existence.
